Utility One Source Rebranding As Custom Truck One Source

Kansas City, MO February 27, 2018 – Utility One Source (UOS) announced today a major rebranding effort, changing the company’s name to Custom Truck One Source. The rebrand unifies all company platforms under the Custom Truck One Source name.

As part of the rebrand, the online sales partnership with Housby will also be changing names, now titled Custom Truck One Source Housby Online Sales. This partnership allows Custom Truck One Source the opportunity to provide a complete solution to its customer base not only for equipment purchasing but also for equipment disposal.

Known for customization across a wide range of industries and a vast array of products, Custom Truck One Source is positioned as a true “one stop shop” for its customers. Company officials say the new name sends a clearer message about what the company does.

“Every day, people look to us for innovative solutions—and clear communication about them,” said Fred Ross, CEO. “With our focus on custom in the name, it can work for every industry we serve, whether it’s utility, forestry, rail, construction, propane, oil & gas, or other heavy equipment industries. We think Custom Truck One Source does a good job of that.”

Load King, a trailer and equipment manufacturing subsidiary, will continue to operate under its well-known name, while including Custom Truck One Source in its logo and communications.

The transition to the new name has already begun and becomes official on April 1. Ross and other executives are rolling out the rebrand in communications to all partners and vendors.

“It’s an exciting time for Custom Truck One Source,” said Ryan McMonagle, COO. “Our industries are moving fast, and it takes speed, skill and ingenuity to meet the changes. We think the new brand reflects that and will help keep us headed in the right direction.”

Playground Renovation Day With Housby - Anwaim Housing

On August 14th, Housby Mack | Housby Auctions volunteered their time and resources to renovating the Anawim Housing playground located at 1352 12th Street. Fern Kidder, HR Director for Housby, orchestrated the success of this event, bringing in the resources and coordinating the volunteers. Thirteen dedicated volunteers from Housby and several members of Anawaim staff showed up to help.

Huge improvements were made to the playground including:  replacing the tire swing, sanding and repainting the playground, and supplying a dump truck of new sand. A sandbox was put in, as well as new wooden frames around each play area to help with sand and water runoff.

Members of the community expressed their excitement about the newly renovated playground. One community member stopped by to say, "My son (5 years old) he's going to love it. We've been needing it. He'll be really excited the tire swing is fixed". The playground now looks brand new and is a fun place for children and families to spend their time. We are so thankful for Housby's impactful and continued partnership with Anawim.

Eastern Concrete Drives Tribute To West Point

Like many producers across the industry, U.S. Concrete Inc. has enjoyed 2014 market conditions supporting a fleet upgrade. A 2015 Mack GU713-mounted 11-yd. Housby mixer assigned to the Elmwood Park, N.J.-based Eastern Concrete Materials division stands out above the deliveries as it honors the alma mater of U.S. Concrete CEO William J. (Bill) Sandbrook—the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.

To help promote a New York market presence expanded by acquisition, Eastern Concrete recently partnered with Army Athletics. One of the avenues used to highlight the collaboration is advertising tied to Army football, underscored by the U.S. Military Academy-themed mixer, whose cab and drum color and graphics mirror the team helmet.

Understanding of the importance of the Eastern Concrete and West Point relationship, as well as its own respect and appreciation for the Military Academy, Paterson, N.J-based Quality Collision and Painting was able to turn around what would typically be a 12-week paint job in three weeks. Beyond the football helmet motif, special nods to the Army and West Point included in the USMA truck design are the “Duty, Honor, Country” motto, plus a famous quote by General George C. Marshall, chief of staff for the U.S. Army during World War II: “ I want an officer for a secrete and dangerous mission. I want a West Point football player.”

The truck also has a special tribute to 1979 West Point graduate Sandbrook, whose name and class are printed on the side of the truck, along with the “Top of the Line 79” class motto. The USMA truck is also fittingly numbered 79. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Management, Sandbrook spent 13 years in the U.S. Army. His service included a four-year tour in Germany in cavalry and engineering units; three years as an associate professor in the West Point Department of Mathematics; and, two years as the Army Program representative to Raytheon Co.  While teaching at West Point, Sandbrook also served as a social aide to President Ronald Reagan and earned his Professional Engineer’s License (PE) in Industrial Engineering.

Eastern Concrete and sister U.S. Concrete companies take a lot of pride in their veterans, boasting team members who served throughout the armed forces branches. Army football games have become a rallying spot for Eastern Concrete customers and employees alike to come together for unofficial company gatherings—even more cause for the producer to promote its market expansion by expressing support of an organization management and staff hold in high regard.
